He has said that he was out of work for 13 years. What is wrong with having supporting roles in movies? You could name so many actors whose whole careers or almost all of were supporting roles. That just makes him come off really conceited.

I would b68take it to mean that he wasn't being given roles that interest him. He had burned quite a few bridges from what I gather. So getting roles to match his caliber, as an actor, was next to impossible.
