Haven't really seen her cry in anything except "Face/Off", and it's wasn't all that great, but I just accepted that performance due to her character's age, though I heard her screaming in "Alpha Dog" and couldn't believe my ears. One of the characters offered to get her high and I thought, "Yes pleaseget her high and calm her down"

I just watched Noble Things and was shocked at how bad her acting was. So I came on here to see if there was any explanation on why over the years her acting and her career have seem to go down hill. When i was finished watching the movie, I was really thinking she must have a drug problem. Sorry, just my opinion when you see someone's talent look like it magically disappeared.

I've always thought she was an
okay
actress, but I certainly know what the OP is referring to. She has this wacky body language whenever her characters break down/get emotional; i.e., weird faces, flailing her arms and legs about. It IS bizarre. She did the same thing in Lolita a couple of times during some scenes with Jeremy Irons. She looks like she's sort of tall and lanky, b5b4ut still the flailing. I also recall seeing her do it in that movie Pumpkin with Christina Ricci, and apparently in a bunch of other films according to the other posters here. I haven't seen a whole lot of her work, just the two aforementioned movies. I also saw that bizarre movie Tart on television in the early 2000s and the whole thing was just weird. This girl has had a strange career.
