Any word on what he'll do next, or what he's considering? I heard about the Pinnochio thing, but there's been no word on it recently. I believe he was just supposed to work on the script for that. I'd rather not see him direct a Pinnochio film.
The Master was amazing. That's why I want to see him write another original script instead of taking on someone else's project. Unless it was another interesting novel adaptation, like I know at one point he wanted to adapt Pynchon's Vineland.

There have been rumors that his next project may be set during the early days of public access television when people were coming up with a lot of subversive and strange programming (no doubt inspired by his father, who worked in that realm and got away with a lot of gonzo antics himself).

Might not be easy for him to get funded, sadly. The middling budgets that are common for him (15-30 million) are becoming extinct and his last two have lost money for the studios as it was. I'm not holding my breath.
