I mean does anyone else think that really weird that he casts his daughter in roles that require nudity?

It is very strange indeed. I just read a story about this. I don't know how true it is but here goes:
This story takes ace at a screening of Suspiria where Dario Argento was present. In prb68esenting the film, he was asked about his collaboration with his daughter Asia. In response he told an anecdote about the first time she did nudity for him in a film, just when she had turned 18. He described her crying and begging him to not have to do it. But her filial obedience and desire for his approval won out and she took off her clothes for daddy's camera. He then went into a description of the terrible sweat that poured off of her in her fear and nervousness, and the incredible stench of this sweat, which I suppose to him was both repulsive and erotic. He then laughed, having successfully humiliated her for the audience. He told this story with great zeal and glee, obviously relishing the memory of his supremacy and control over his daughter, the moment of his terrorization of her, her abject submission, and the dehumanizing for her for the audience. He clearly saw this story as a great piece of artwork, which in a way it was, as it titillated the horror audience full of sadomasochists and gave them exactly what they expected of him - the reinforcement of oppressive social roles by a misogynistic pervert. If you asked Argento himself, I'm sure he would tell you that he is indeed a misogynist. -

What I heard is that Phil Collins sent him a free ticket to one of his concerts, and during "In the Air Tonight", shone a single spotlight down upon Argento and sang directly to him.

You obviously never worked on movies or any other similar art project. When it comes to work (art), business is business. In private life, she's his daughter, in his professional-life, she's an actress in his movies.
It's really that simple. My uncle owns an art studio and I work there. From 9h till 19h he is my boss and not my uncle. You get the idea?
