Blanchett's "Manifesto" for Oscars 2017?

By all means, this may be the wildest of the wild possibilities, not because Mrs Blanchett is a long-shot, but simply due to the nature of the performance. And yet, is it out of reach, with news of Sundance premiere, that this may be considered as a movie role and be nominated for every award 5b4there is out there?
If Academy and various awarding bodies decide that this may be the performance that can change our own perspective on what the movie performance actually is, Blanchett will be soaring on the amazing narrative. And with this narrative giving her range as no other role, it can be rather glorious moment in movie history. And if anyone has the credibility and artistic integrity to take the movie world to the places where it has never been before, it is certainly Cate Blanchett.
Yes, I knnow, it is crazy to even think about this. But, still, does/would Blanchett have chances at next year's award circuit? -

I think that it was first shown as an exhibit in a museum(?) with 12 giant screens all of them playing one character in a loop. And it was done in 2016. Even if it hits cinemas in 2017 in the US, I believe that the exhibit "cancels" the rule the Academy has, that the movie, so as to be eligible, has to
premiere
in US cinemas in 2017. But if they dont take the exhibit as a "screening", then it could be eligible.
And even if it does, I think that it will only be nominated, a win is too streched. -

, I'm not sure if Cate would be eligible for an Oscar nomination or any other such industry award for Manifesto because it wasn't originally created as a feature film but an art exhibition. I'm pretty sure that a feature has to be released theatrically in both New York and Los Angeles to be eligible for the Oscars, so it probably depends on what happens after Sundance and if it gets picked up for some kind of limited theatre release. Even if that did happen, I'm still not entirely sure she would be eligible due to the fact that the exhibition has been touring globally since early 2016.
It would be well deserved though, everything I've seen so far has absolutely astonished me. How does she do it?? I remember the New York Times saying that if the art world gave out Oscars, Cate should definitely win. -

I am not acquainted with the Academy's rules, save that it has to be screened in the previous years in USA. And yeah, realistically, this is a far-fethched
But, still In her career, Blanchett managed to pull the impossible. She remains the last person to be nominated for 2 Oscars in the same year, someone who broke all the records with "Blue Jasmine" in a year with probably the fiercest competition in that category. She managed to bring "Carol" to life, a movie that has everything against it and so little for it. Bob Dylan, Katherine Hepburn These are the roles we all love this woman for. She shows us that there is something profoundly artistic and transcendent in what she does.People get nominated with so forgettable roles, but when Blanchett is nominated, it is just to see what the art on movie looks like. And if her team sees the opportunity, I say it, grab it We need more of this woman.
Simply, if anyone can bring ART back to the Oscars, that is Cate Blanchett. -

Slightly related, I didn't realise until the other day that Cate actually holds the record for the largest awards sweep for a single performance of all time for Blue Jasmine. She won
46 awards
for that movie alone!
