Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Danny Boyle

Seeing loads of praise for Trainspotting, 127 Hours, Slumdog Millionaire, and 28 Days Later, but some of his lesser known work seems to get snubbed.
I personally love A Life Less Ordinary. It took me a few watches to appreciate it, but it's just a wonderfully directed fairy tale with an awesome soundtrack. I love its message about love and how it's dependent on both coincidence and personal motivation. Also, Holly Hunter.

      Sunshine easily.
It is a beautifully made film, its final act is just rather weak. I would still give it a 7.5/10

Sunshine. I actually think it's his best film.

The beach is the best of his films for me

Sunshine. It's a shame that film wasn't a success for Boyle.

The Beach is probably my least favorite Danny Boyle film, Sunshine is the most underrated.

The Beach, one of the most inspirational movies ever.

Either Sunshine or 28 Days Later. 28 Days Later gets a lot of flack from both viewers and critics for its 3rd act which I found nothing wrong with, even finding it compelling. Otherwise it got great marks.
Sunshine's 3rd act pissing people off I can understand, but it's 1st two more than make up for it.

The Beach, then Sunshine, then A Life Less Ordinary.
Boycott movies that involve real animal violence (& their directors)

I think Millions is underrated. It's a shame that the DVD is discontinued.
