The point here is that nobody has been arrested for saying they like bacon, nobody was arrested for a thought crime, LGBTQ does NOT include paedophiles and Keanu is still not married.

Yes, someone was arrested for saying they like bacon. You saw the video. Yes, MAPs gets indirectly covered through the LGBT alphabet community, though it will never be directly stated as such. There are educational programs explaining the sexual identity of MAPs and how one does not choose their sexual identity/orientation. Despite what you choose to believe, sometimes I have a line of info.
I knew I could count on you to pipe in and defend such silly arrests on free speech.

Is there a video of the encounter? We know how much everyone loves leaving out context. Did he just call the officer a pig and got arrested for that? What else happened and do we only have this dude's side of the story? We know how we love to embellish these stories, just like in the OP a key detail was left out, it was suggested that all they did was say they love bacon, which isn't necessarily true. Maybe I'm wrong here, if there's video of the incident then OK, but you can't trust the word of people anymore, especially partisan media.

There's a video link in the article. It sure seems like calling him a pig is the only things that happened. That video doesn't have that part but it does have the pig completely failing to give a convincing explanation to the guy's girlfriend, which I guess is the only reason he was able to get the charges dropped.

It kind of is a key detail because it shows motive and intent, they were doing it to antagonize Muslims, not just randomly saying "I love bacon," so in this instance I agree with the retarded /. user. However, it obviously shouldn't be an arrestable offense, but Europe is a ****hole and they don't have free speech because they're ****hole and you're not allowed to criticize the worst, most brutal religion on Earth over there because Europe is a ****hole and Bentley sucks and is gay.

This is right up there with having a section of the female police force jogging around just waiting for someone to "cat call" them because the "offender might do something more dangerous in the future".
What possible objection could you have to the police wanting to make outdoor exercise safer and less intimidating for women?
“One of our officers was honked at within 10 minutes, then another vehicle slowed down, beeping and making gestures just 30 seconds later – that’s how frequent it is.
“Someone slowing down, staring, shouting, even if it’s not always criminal, it can have a huge impact on people’s everyday lives and stops women from doing something as simple as going for a run. We have to ask: ‘Is that person going to escalate? Are they a sexual offender?’ We want to manage that risk early,” he said.
In a statement, he added: “To date, we have made a number of interventions following reports of harassment of our plainclothes runners. In these cases, it was deemed appropriate to provide education around antisocial behaviour.
“For repeat offenders or where the behaviour is more serious, we will robustly pursue all criminal justice outcomes. We recognise this is a significant worry for women and girls, and we’ll continue to patrol running routes.”
Most women in England and Wales have seen abusive male behaviour in past year, says poll
PC Abby Hayward, who went undercover, said her experience reflected a daily reality for women.
“This behaviour is either a precursor to something more serious, or it’s ignorance and it’s fixable. That’s where our interventions come in: to stop potential repeat offenders or help people understand that what they’re doing isn’t OK,” she said.
The statistics for this show that a very high percentage of women are harassed whilst out running. Why would you think that, trying to educate men that this is not okay, is a waste of resources?
