Does anyone else think that Danny is one of the most diverse and versatile filmmakers ever?
For those of you saying Tarantino or Kubrick, please keep in mind, diverse doesn't always mean simply changing genres. Both filmmakers have made some great films in different genres, but you know when you're watching a Tarantino movie (even more with a Kubrick film), because they have certain traits that keep repeated throughout (do I even have to list each filmmakers traits?). Whereas, would you seriously look me in the face and say that you believed the same person made Trainspotting AND Slumdog Millionaire? 127 Hours AND 28 Days Later? It's not that Tarantino or Kubrick aren't diverse, they do well with the style they use, but Boyle completely changes all his techniques in each film he uses, it's astounding.
I love my Kubrick and Tarantino, etc., but it's Boyle's originality in the way he makes his projects that makes me love him.
Anyone else?
