By this time in August up in my neck of the woods, you suddenly start noticing that summer has gradually changed to the first signs of fall. Nights are longer (and cooler), there's dew on the ground in the morning, and here and there the leaves on the maple trees are starting to turn… We still can have some hot days, but thankfully it cools off enough overnight such that the heat doesn't linger. I usually start sleeping better about now, too. So yeah, we're definitely over the summer hump here.

That's a beautiful picture of your foliage! It sounds like your weather is terrific.
We're still coming out of days that have reached 100 on one day and the middle 90s otherwise.
I'm so looking forward to Fall starting up with the cooler weather.

Not my own pic, but… it's reasonably representative of what I'm starting to see around me.
Yes, summer is collapsing here. Before too much longer it'll be a mere cheap imitation of its former self. -

I was wondering if you guys got fall foliage there. I need to ask my brother if he gets it where he is on the island, however, they usually only stay till end of September then they come back here.
It's pretty warm here. Going to start getting hotter this week. August/September are always are hottest months.
