Sure thing Slash dot. "Ignore" is when I can't see anything written by someone who I don't want to see. It's an incredibly simply concept to understand but you might have to run it through some of those fancy techniques you've got to verify it beyond my word
So, what to do, is download the entire content of this website (Like it did with the IMDB message boards) and then run an AI spider over it to see if when I say I have someone on ignore do I reply to their threads.
On the couple of occasion where you'll find that happening in my entire posting history here. Run a check to see if that person, or someone else, asks me to take them from ignore prior to that comment being made on my 'self admitted' ignoring of them.
Once you see that it all lines up. When I say ignore I mean ignore. When that person uses a sock or other means to be 'unignored' and I follow through they are then seen and sometimes responded to
You'll find it is usually around Christmas when I ask the wider, and more interesting, community if there is anyone I have on ignore that should be back on standard membership with me. I do sometimes log on and ignore someone for something like spamming without understand the context of that particular set of threads.
