It would be amazing to see Carl come back and hang out with Homer again.
It's interesting that the Carl was the first gay character on The Simpsons (long before they developed Smithers, Pattie and Mr Largo as gay characters) and this was also long before Ellen came out and shows like Will & Grace, Queers as Folk, etc. was on TV.
Even more interesting is in how Carl kissing Homer and smacking him on the bum completely went over the more conservative early 90's TV audience!
Bring back Carl! -

I agree but unfortunately I don't think it's going to happen. Harvey Fierstein was approached by The Simpsons to return as Carl (or wasn't it Karl?) in the 2003 episode Three Gays of the Condo but sadly he politely turned the part down as he didn't like the script. Instead, the script was changed and Karl was replaced by 2 new gay characters, Grady and Julio.
Big shame, IMO.
