To me it looked like she had already had some facial work done even back when What I Like About You was still on the air. Her facial skin just looked very tight.

I doubt there are many woman in Hollywood over the age of 30 that haven't had some facial work done. At 40 I think it's a given.

I don't know about back when you posted this (2011) but now, the answer is definitely yes.

I have been curious about JG's appearance also, not because I care about celebs who have surgery, but simply because I came to recognize her appearance had changed in a way unrelated to aging.
As an artist, I have compared JG's face from 1990 BH 90210 to 1997 90210; at some point she had thinned her eyebrows and over a period of time she has lightened the color of her eyebrows; believe it or not, a person's eyebrows have a major influence to a person's overall and entire facial recognition.
In addition, early 90210 JG seemed to have an very pronounced "Cupids Bow", the dimple most everyone has between the bottom of our nose, just above our upper lip. However, sometime around BH 90210 S4, I see her "Cupids Bow" appearing less pronounced somehow could just be a trick of makeup and/or lighting?
In any event, a lot of people mistake botox injections as actual plastic surgery. If you watched Celebrity Lie Detector with Tori Spelling on 10-03-2015, Tori Spelling uses botox and her face is what a "botox face" looks like.
The botox paralyzes nerves beneath the skin in effort to limit skin lines and wrinkles, typically within ones face. Most common facial spots for botox injections are: between eyebrows/center forehead; outer eyes, where laugh lines or "crows feet" appear messing with the upper brow and eyes has a significant effect in distorting our ability to recognize a familiar face. Around the lips- laugh lines, etc.
I wish people would not use the botox out of fear of facial lines or wrinkles because botox causes the face to lose its ability to show emotion, appear alive and animated because it straight out deadens the eyes and the smile. It always ends up making ppl appear fake and plastic-like, emotion-less, etc.
Sincerely, seeing some facial lines and even a pensive wrinkle here or there is something I view as attractive, as facial lines are somewhat similar to fingerprints we all have them, or will eventually develop them, but each person's are slightly different and tell a completely different, and often interesting, story 😉
Just say "No!" to Botox, people!
            Peace :cD

She's definitely had the "skin stretching" that so many do (e.g. Kim Kardashian) that then starts (especially with lip and bottom face botox and fillers) developing a 'snout' like appearance - where the mouth and chin area elongated. Nowadays, surgeons are starting to inject fat into the cheeks at the same time, which fills out the face and returns it to that much youn2000ger, "girlish" look. That's what Jenny (and many others who have developed "The Snout") needs.

Note to self, don't go to the poorest parts of Mexico to get plastic surgery done.
