could someone tell me what links,if any bob hope had with wales.i have been told that his parents were welsh and that he lived in wales for a time.i am not sure if this is correct because its never mentioned on english tv.cant help but wonder why?

Considering that Bob Hope's parents emigrated to the USA and settled in Cleveland, Ohio when Bob was four years old he couldn't possibly have lived in Wales for very long if at all!!!!
He was born in Eltham, London and the family moved to Bristol before they emigrated so I suppose there's a chance that Bob could have crossed over into Wales a few times, but I have never heard anything that he actually lived there.

Bob Hope's mother was Welsh. His father was English. I've never heard of him living in Wales, but he had family there and he was, obviously, half Welsh.

Yes, he was Anglo-Welsh. He may not have lived in Wales but he did visit family there on many occasions.

Hope's mum was welsh.
