      Winchester 73okay at that position just as a movie, but Hudson himself is grotesquely miscast as a Native American chief, and it is a small role.
      That being the case, I would rate Giant & Seconds as his top two movies.
      Personally, I think Written on the Wind is his best Sirk melodrama.

        I wavered over Winchester 73 but in the end I included it because it was a famous western and because Rock Hudson was 'grotesquely miscast' as an Indian Chief, one of his first roles. Plus I had a rare poster of the film featuring Rock's Indian Chief. 🙂
        Seconds is a good film, but not one I watch often.
        I haven't seen Written on the Wind, All That Heaven Allows or Magnificent Obsession.
