Hussey was into chanting at the time, and she played a lot of Hindu music in her dressing room, which was next door to Ms. Davis'. Davis complained about everything at that stage in her life, and this just gave her one more thing to whine about.

What I said will probably cause some of Bette's fans to say the opposite, but the truth is that she was well known for having quite a temper and she had several feuds with other people, especially actors. That doesn't mean that she was a horrible person or anything remotely similar, but she clearly had quite a temper.
