In the very early 50's, Jim Hutton hosted a local live kids' TV show in Los Angeles. He drew cartoons and showed old "Popeye" cartoons. The show was on every day after school. It must have been a slow period in his acting career.

It was 238not Jim Hutton but TOM HATTEN who hosted Popeye cartoons while making his own sketches back in the 50's on Los Angeles channel KTLA. Never big fans of the catoon Popeye (prefering the Thimble Theater comic strip version), we nonetheless watched the tv show because Mr. Hatten was so engaging and talented. It is wonderful that he is still with us and so sad that Jim Hutton was taken much too early! He WAS Ellery Queen to our family! When o when will EQ come to DVD?

Good question two of my fave shows haven't made it yet and probably never will
So in the meantime I am glad to have found some downloads. Alas they are missing the teaser in the very opening but at least the shows are uncut!
