The reason being is, unless you're a chosen few like Ron Jeremy, Randy West, and James Deen and can market yourself as a true star, You're a dime a dozen. The real money for Male porn stars is doing Gay Porn because that's where the demand is to see just the male.
Assuming most of the buyers of Guy/Girl or Girl/Girl porn even today are still a majority of men. Probably 80% of those men are Hetro and are buying it to see the girl get hammered, not to check out the guy and the size of his piece and the way he moves. Those left over 20% who want to see a Male doing what a Male does are the Gay buying public and most of them want to see more than 1 male doing a scene.
So there's probably a good chance if a Male Adult film actor wants to strictly do Hetro porn, he might need to take a 2nd job or not even quit his day job because there's less of a demand for it.

No straight man wants to see an ugly man having sex with a woman. One of the points of watching porn is for the straight male viewer to identify with the male actor. He's not going to want to identify with an ugly guy.

Hey Arthur!!!! I think there is actually a kernel of truth to what you say, this time. How about that???? Perhaps we can yet be 2-peas in a pod.
While I would say most straight guys aren't really into looking at the guys, I would also say that a lot of guys don't want to submit themselves to the eye-sore of watching really ugly guys having sex on camera. It's too much of a distraction.
Ron Jeremy perhaps being an exception to the rule.
Although, I have to wonder how many straight guys would prefer not to look at a naked Ron Jeremy. -
