Is this guy as arrogant as he seems?

You people are calling him arrogant but anyone who can't enjoy a good performance because of the actor's personal life needs to get over themselves. I don't know the guy. Some say he's arrogant while others say he's nice. Maybe he's somehow both since it is not absolutely impossible. Maybe it depends on the mood he's in or maybe he's just a prick who likes to act douchey around certain people.
The thing is, people shouldn't care that much. You don't have to respect someone as a person in order to respect and appreciate their work. Let's take Klaus Kinski, for instance. I believe his daughters when they talk about the awful things he tried to do/did to them because there was something wrong with him and anyone could tell. He belonged in an institution. However, he was a brilliant actor, I'll give him that. It's the truth and there's no reason why I should deny it. I myself couldn't stand Richard Harris. I didn't like the guy but hell, what a great actor he was! His son is very talented too.
Refusing to pay for Ben Kingsley's movies just because you don't like him doesn't seem very logical to me. You're not only "punishing" one man, you are "punishing" ALL the people that worked in order to make that movie because of one guy you've probably never met and who did nothing to you (at least in most cases). Very mature. Of course, you're free to do that and you're free to believe it actually affects him or what other people think of his performance. But it doesn't because most people don't know much about his personal life and I doubt they care and that's why they'll continue watching
his movies.
This wasn't meant for the OP btw, since he/she never really replied to anyone around here and I don't know how he/she feels about this. -

Well, here is an awkward interview which seems to confirm this.
