On his channel, he demonstrates different generations of music by portraying 3 "characters"; himself, his "pops", and his grandfather, "PopPop", and he wears different degrees of "costumes" depending on whom he's portraying. He often shows that what kids think is new today is really just another version of songs from the past.

Yep! When he's the grandfather "PopPop", he's got "white hair" and a "white beard" and walks in with a "cane" (ie: golf club), all sort of hunched over. His channel is pretty fun, and he covers a lot of different types of music across the generations.

How did disco get popular if everyone hates it? Was it something the mainstream media tried to shove down our throats because black people made it? Make it make sense!
P.S. I'm not a racist. I just hate disco. And blacks. But I have a black friend because I'm not racist.

It was just a small leather pouch on a strap big enough for a pack of cigarettes.

                        In that case, no.
I had a Disco Briefcase. A leather valise big enough for a carton of cigarettes, a bottle of Midol, a box of tampons, a package of mini pads, and business cards, incase I cared to exchange phone numbers with someone. (Remember… these were the days before the cellphone and social media)

It was getting popular with shows such as Soul Train, K.C. and The Sunshine Band, ABBA (as mentioned in the video) and the movie Saturday Night Fever.
Though The Bee Gees were dubbed into the soundtrack later, Travolta was actually dancing to Boz Scaggs. 'The Lowdown' to be exact.
When it started getting too gay, with The Village People and too corny with Disco Duck and Ethel Merman making Disco albums.
And discos either attracting gay crowds or old people, it wasn't considered "cool" by Rock music fans and musicians.
It's like that with every new thing that comes along and certain types not liking it.
There was also a wave of European music acts invading American music stations with M
                          and Giorgio Moroder.
Mainstream acts were mad that Disco was considered shallow and it was pushing their music aside.
Much like Artists today complaining about AI Music and trying to discourage people from listening to it or trying to stop it.
                          They feel threatened by it.
The music industry has control over what people can listen to and once people can go outside the box, it starts a panic.
It wasn't just Disco…people hated Punk bands, Rap music, Heavy Metal and anything electronic / computerized.
So when New Wave was taking over in the early 80s, you had people rebelling against that as well.
With each decade, something else came along and replaced what the trend was.
                          Are you okay?

                                The dancing was pure choreography.
My friends and I practiced as often as time allowed and once we arrived at the disco we had our favorite partners once we hit the dance floor!
People truly were sociable. We had fun! 🕺 💃

                                    True.
