I've only seen her in
Bringing Down The House
and
Taxi
, both of which I thought sucked. However, I'm drawn to her acting for some reason, and I'm curious to see her in more films that are actually solid. What should I watch from her next?
Where does fantasy end and reality begin?

Beauty Shop, Last Holiday and Just Wright are the same fare as what you sa5b4w, but she's her gorgeous, wonderful self in all of them. She sings and dances in Hairspray and Chicago.
The Secret Life of Bees is a little deeper, but she's a supporting character in that. Life Support was a more serious role.

Truth is she is not that great a dramatic actress for my personal taste. She is good in situation comedy, but I would not waste a lot of money and time watching her in anything else.

"Miracles from Heaven" which just came out. Saw it with my wife and some friends earlier this evening and it was a great movie. Latifah didn't have a major role, but was a significant part of the story.
