Early crush on Piper Laurie

I recall seeing Piper Laurie in a few movies back in the early Fifties, but unfortunately I can't recall the titles, even after checking the IMDB file. One movie I recall has her in a Technicolor rose garden in a long white party dress surrounded by a bunch of smitten beaus. Of course I was only 10 at the time, and hadn't gone on any dates, but I was jealous of those guys. She sang a song about "Who will it be when the time comes" indicating her engagement. Then she would point at each of the guys, saying "Will it be Jack, or Jerry, etc." She also had a line that for some reason I thought was cute as hell. Apparently she was secretly married to some guy but hadn't told her mother. I guess they eloped. Anyway, her line was and she delivered it really cute: "Momma doesn't know we're married." Why that line has stayed with me for so many years, I can't tell you. Anyway, I thought she was really cute. I have a early pin-up photo of her that I would like to get autographed, assuming she is still alive, but I could never find a good address and didn't want to risk sending it through the mail to a discontinued post office box.

I also had an early crush on Piper Laurie, though I was almost a teenaget when her first movie (Louisa) came out, I thought she was a very cute red-headed young starlet. I have never met her, though I did talk to her late sister Sherrye several times on the phone and did see Piper act in a play about 5 years ago. Unfortunately she does not presently have a contact address since her sister passed away, because Sherrye used to handle her fan mail. However, Piper will be the mystery guest at the Port Townsend Film Festival (Sept. 26-28) and will be at Q&A sessions after the showings of two of her films (The Hustler and Carrie- she received Oscar nominations for both), so that might be an opportunity to get her autograph the photo, if you happen to live in the Northwest.
