Oh,that's not so easy.I don't have one fave movie of him, because he played a lot of great ones.
My top five:
Into the Sun
Heart of America
Moon 44
Deadly Heroes
Hope Floats(but only because I really liked it to see him playing with Sandra Bullock) -

Streets of Fire for sure - it's the only one he's done as a leading man that became more than was expected of it. Love The Philadelphia Experiment and Eddie and the Cruisers, Bad Moon etc, but SoF was a real classic, and he was perfect in it. I hate to say it because I really like the guys work, and wish he'd had a more successful career, but most of his movies he could be replaced by any number of other actors. The character of Tom Cody however couldn't have been played by anyone else.just perfect. Great film. Plus Diane Lane in that movie was insanely gorgeous, and the music fantastic. Everything about it, even the cheesy dialogue, was just right.

I think Walter Hill's "Streets of Fire" is Pare's best movie. I also thoroughly dug both "Eddie and the Cruisers" and "The Philadelphia Experiment,"
Q: What's the biggest room in the world? A: The room for improvement. -

I always thought he gave his best performance in "Eddie And The Cruisers." Second place goes to "Streets Of Fire." Saw "Bad Moon" again the other night, and he did a good job in that one too. Should have had a much better career.

Just saw him in "A Month Of Sundays" which was Rod Steiger's last film. While this certainly wouldn't qualify as MP's best movie, he gave a surprisingly good performance. Definitely a different type of role for him.

Bloodraynej/k. LOL. I LOVE Eddie and the Cruisers! Michael Pare played an excellent supporting part in the film (the once great Tom Berenger really carried the film), and did an excellent job fleshing out 7echis character as the lead in the guilty pleasure sequel, Eddie and the Cruisers II- Eddie Lives! The first Eddie film, an '80's classic! Great music, feels like a biopic, though it's not.

You mean we have to pick only one? Not possible!
Into the Sun
Killing Streets - where he plays twins was good too.
Triplecross - was excellent!
The Philadelphia Experiment - was memorable.
I loved - Coyote Run (also titled Sworn Enemies) where he played a drunk. He was soooo good in this one.
Sunset Heat
The Closer (with Danny Aiello this would have gotten Aiello nominated for an Oscar and was pulled from theaters after Dancing with Wolves starting taking all awards.)
Sorry no way to pick just one. -

I have to admit, I have not seen much of him in the last 15 - 20 years, but the movies I HAVE seen him in in that period have been HORRID!!!
I remember back in the early 80s, he was a real up-n-comer. What happened to him?
SoF was a relative hit (although I was not a huge fan) and Philadelphia Experiment was a mild classic. But without a doubt, Eddie and the Cruisers was a total classic. Although not a movie, Greatest American Hero was great as well
