For any one wondering about this guys character.
We spoke with an eye-witness who saw Remar approach the man outside of an L.A. grocery store on Friday and noticed he was bleeding profusely from his head.
So Remar, being a former EMT and an all-around nice guy, went into the store bought a bandage and antiseptic cream went back to the homeless man and cleaned and dressed the wound.

I am not terribly familiar w/ his work (Dexter is to nerve wracking.) but his actions show a kind, empathic gentleman.
Sir I respect & salute you, I got all teary just reading about this.

Wow, that is what you would call real genuine caring for others in need!
By helping that poor, desolate, homeless individual in need of emergency medical care, James sets really high standards for really great humanitarian actors to live up to with his kind and capable deed.
James Remar is famous for his recurring character work as Detective Madjanski on "Third Watch," in which he plays one no-nonsense tough cookie, who probably flips over Kim, but that lovely, classy lady and good, hard worker can afford to be picky even to dump the likes of this great and good-looking actor even with all his right credentials and contributions to society.
Note to would-be achievers of fame, fortune, high social status and legacy: forget about fame, fortune and high social status, and go for the legacy which this great actor James Remar establishes by acting nice and polite and caring for the less fortunate and not honking his own horn about his good deeds.

I'm a bit late discovering this (I'm from Norway), but wow! I'm very impressed and moved by this.
You have my deepest respect, Mr. Remar.
