Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Tina Yothers

Anyone else have or hear the Jaded album? Her voice is not bad at all, considering that most of todays pop music airheads have become so rich and popular, I really think its the stigma of her being an 80s tv star of Family Ties that has prevented her from being viewed as a joke.
The funniest track is the one that starts with the angry answering machine message, this woman tells Tina off, its really funny.
Some of the songs are good, not that original. Her voice is like a cross between Gwen Stefani and Cyndi Lauper.
You can find it cheap on half.com

I have it. It's really good. Great production and competant song writing.

The answering machine with a message for music is an attempt to reach someone or an angry person. Note that someone isn't going say something nice over and over again. She could have pulled the phone out of the wall.

I have this album. It's not bad, but it's not particularly great either. It's pretty much mediocre rock/pop which is why I believe the band never really went anywhere, not because people didn't take her seriously because of her acting career. Still, it's a pretty enjoyable album and I give her credit for her efforts. Too bad she didn't stick with it.
