Nude picture of Claire Bloom in The Haunting?

I just watched that great movie The Haunting for the umpteenth time and saw something new in it. In the scene where Julie Harris walks into the parking attendant's office, over her left shoulder, on the wall is a Playboy calender. On the calender is a photo of what looks very much like a nude Claire Bloom.
Has anyone else noticed this?

I don't think she ever posed for Playboy, jlwunder. I do think the picture is meant to be her becuase it fits in with the whole lesbian theme between Theo and Nell. But only she would know for sure if that is an actual picture of her on the wall.

I think the picture is there for a reason PiperLaurieFan, and that reason is that it is supposed to be Theo or someone Theo-like, and with Nell standing next to it, it thus ties in with the lesbian theme.
As for it actually being Claire Bloom or not, only she can answer that, but I don't think it is 'degrading' if she did. Any more than it would be degrading for her to play a lesbian.

Nudity seems to be a big deal to people (Men) in the U.S., they air television programs in other countries with nudity, and they're on regular broadcast stations.
I saw some movie with one of the young women who use to be on the series DeGrassi when she was a younger, and in the U.S. version they didn't show her topless, I saw it again when I was in Canada on television and they showed the nudity. I've never heard too many English actors say they won't do nude scenes, or that they have a problem being nude.
I have heard a lot of American actors say they won't do nude scenes. The new NBC series about the Playboy Club in Chicago set in the 60s will be seen in other countries and the nudity will be shown on the stations that carry it, they've already stated the actors had all signed nudity clauses.
I guess that is why premium cable channels in the U.S. are so popular with some people especially men, it's funny if they were in a lot of other countries they could watch women go topless for free.
I don't think Ms. Bloom had a problem with doing nudity I thought she had a topless scene in the film A Severed Head.
You can also see through her dress in one of her IMDb pictures. Which I'm sure she was aware of at the time it was taken.

what is wrong with being prudish? not everyone thinks that nudity is appropriate viewing, in fact I find it rather tasteless most of the time. I think i'd rather be prudish then slut-ish.

I submit its normal to enjoy viewing people you are attracted to plus there's a certain amount of interest in seeing nude people of the sex you don't normally have sex with. Besides no prude has ever been able to demonstrate the harm of viewing nude persons while there's a good bit of evidence that watching violence does real harm and the U.S. Is a tremendously violent country and it shows in our overall behavior, the numerous routine mass shootings we now simply yawn over because we just don't care anymore. Somehow all that Puritan junk messed Anericans up apparently for all time.
