I have watched confessions of a teen idol since the first episode. What I thought I would dismiss as another wanna be trash celebrity show has become an addictive insight into an entertainers mind. All the men are talented on this show and feel the frustrations of thousands of struggling actors in the industry.
I got a friend of mine who works in casting in Hollywood to take a look at the show. He said obviously David Chokachi is the one with the most potential. Not only is he more handsome then Brad Pitt he does have charisma. Unfortunately the first thing my friend noticed was David's attitude. David comes across as a very laid back surfer type of guy. Which is cool and all but he doesn't come aacross as someone with a lot more dept. A lot of roles David is talking is about, serious critical acclaimed roles are usually given to actors who take a stand on something. A problem in Hollywood is type casting and David comes across character sthat are great for Beyond the break, baywatch typ1c84e of shows.
He really needs to portray his more serious and thoughtful side,if he doesn't get the chance to show that in auditions he can do it in his personal life. Confessions of a teen Idol is riight when they say people see you in magazines and the media they associate you with certain images. David should be more vocal on issues important to him. You saw what that did for Angelina Joli. She can come in as many flops as she wants but people would always consider her for critically acclaimed work because they see her as a deep character. That's what's lacking when people see David. they typer cast him on how he talks, his thoughts etc.
Personally I think David can be bigger then Tom Cruise if he gets the chance to really show his talent in some critical acclaimed role.
Good Luck David we are all rooting for you
