Reflecting Light by Sam Phillips. It's the same song that played at Liz's wedding that Luke and Lorelai danced to.

Well, it's well known by the town that she had sex with Dean when he was married. Dean's mother-in-law accosted her in the middle of town then she and Dean started dating her again. People love her, but know she's no saint. Plus, they all love Lorelai, and she was an unwed teen mother when she came to Stars Hallow.

  • I'm curious how the town

Agreed. I get that they wanted to establish that it was summer, but poor choice.

I'd watch a sequel series starring Emily & Paris.

I totally agree. It didn't have the magic the original series had.

If I remember correctly, Luke is Steve and Kwan's godfather, so in that sense it fits her being his "best man" even without continuing to work for him.

  • What is Lane's job?

Sutton is definetly a talented performer, no doubt about it, but there was absolutely no reason as to why her character required so much screen time, as opposed to Lane, Jess, or any number of characters who actually had roles during the original run of GG. I thought the entire musical was drawn out far too long. They could have shown the first two scenes of the play and Lorelai's bewilderment and moved on, but they spent 15-20 minutes on a show that added nothing to the storylines of the two main characters (except for the final song).

  • I like Sutton Foster and all…

    Jess is definitely a Luke.
Dean was always going to remarry and have a family, that wasn't Rory.
Something that annoyed me was that there was loads of speculation that Rory was now a teacher (because of the Chiltern scene) but that wasn't the case at all. I don't like that she wasn't settled and knew what she wanted from life - which was what we were led to believe from the last few series.

  • Meh… (spoilers)
