All African Americans are mixed is a cop out excuse. You don't see people over at the Don Cheadle or Serena Williams board for example asking of they are mixed because most people do not think they look mixed.
The reason people ask if Coby Bell is mixed is because judging by his phenotype he does look like he has more Caucasian blood in his family tree compared to somebody that looks like Whoopi Goldberg or Michael Jordan. -

i myself am mixed, too, and don't find the term mixed offensive at all. "human" is a race, but not "chinese" or anything else.
and yes, mixed people are beautiful lol

Um, that picture that was posted is not of Coby Bell's parentsread the bio. His dad is a Broadway actor, Michael Bell, and he is a white man. Where are people getting their info, b/c it's not accurate. And there are plenty of "black" people with "white" features, so the whole discussion is kind of ignorant. As someone mentioned, the ethnic mixture of most blacks in the Western Hemisphere, from Canada to South America means that black people can look like almost anything w/out having a white parentI don't know why white people always want to "claim" everyone who doesn't fit their narrow idea of that black really means. And I include people like Beyonce and Vanessa Williams, who people somehow pretend don't have black features even though neither looks like any Europeans I've ever seen, and that's AFTER Vanessa Williams got her nose done.

I find it so funny that every time someone considers a black person gorgeous the next question is are they mixed??? I understand why the OP asked the question but why in hell does it matter? He's fine as hell and a pretty good actor too ; )
