Um, that picture that was posted is not of Coby Bell's parentsread the bio. His dad is a Broadway actor, Michael Bell, and he is a white man. Where are people getting their info, b/c it's not accurate. And there are plenty of "black" people with "white" features, so the whole discussion is kind of ignorant. As someone mentioned, the ethnic mixture of most blacks in the Western Hemisphere, from Canada to South America means that black people can look like almost anything w/out having a white parentI don't know why white people always want to "claim" everyone who doesn't fit their narrow idea of that black really means. And I include people like Beyonce and Vanessa Williams, who people somehow pretend don't have black features even though neither looks like any Europeans I've ever seen, and that's AFTER Vanessa Williams got her nose done.

I find it so funny that every time someone considers a black person gorgeous the next question is are they mixed??? I understand why the OP asked the question but why in hell does it matter? He's fine as hell and a pretty good actor too ; )

Regarding people losing their minds over the word "mixed".
If you want to assume it's used like with dogs "mixed breed", let's look at that characteristic. "Pure" breeds are usually inbred within an inch of their lives and suffer a wide variety of health problems due to that inbreeding. They may have "papers" and conform to breed characteristics, but they're the cousin-effing hillbillies of dogs.
"Mixed" dogs are often smarter and genetically healthier than purebred dogs are.
My wife is African-American and into geneaology, so I got her one of those genetic geneaology reports for Mother's day. She's got 4 or 5 distinct racial groups popping up markers in her DNA, so even if she'd married another African American instead of a white Jewish male, they'd be "mixed". But by the racially ignorant "one drop" definition, they're still Black.
Heck, I'm of primarily Ukranian extraction at least during the last couple hundred years. My dad's cousin, who is the family historian, has traced our last name back to Turkey, which our family must have passed through as they wandered from the Holy Land to Ukraine to America in the centuries after the diaspora.
But it takes more than a few hundred years to genetically adapt to an area, which means that since my family looks white and not Arabic, there were children of rape in my ancestry children of cossacks, invaders, and others who preyed on Jews as they traveled and settled in Europe. So, if I were to get my genetic geneaology tested, I wouldn't be 100% middle-eastern Jew. I'm "mixed".
My wife and I are both mutts, genetic melting pots, and our kids have (hopefully) the best bits of both. They're gorgeous & smart, big fish in their little ponds at daycare.

I completely agree.
I'm also mixed (white and asian) and I don't mind the word at all, if anything - I'm proud.
Coby is a very handsome man and now seeing his father's picture, I know who he takes after - he looks so much like his dad!

^damn i hope that is a joke cause if michael bell is his father, then coby definitely didnt get his looks from his dad as they dont look similar in anyway, in fact his dad is very ugly and we dont know how his mother looks.
in fact when mixed people look good they get most of their facial features from their white parent but retain a darker complexion. the mixed people that get the opposite are the ugly ones, sry but its true. -
