This Piers Potatoes is not an interviewer. He 's just a small dog that grabs your leg and never knows when it's time to quit. Very irritating but not at all interesting person. Did this guy know that Robert Blake is an actor and appeared in movies and on TV before he was on trial and in prison ?

You know that's an excellent point Mr. Berlette. Blake is a has been, but he did have a somewhat durable, varied, and semi-distinguished career in films and tv. He could have stroked him a little more before getting to the meat. He does seem a bit inept as an interviewer, but I have not seen him in action very much so that may be premature of me.

Oh, I'm sorry, you were an actor? Jesus christ. Damn. Yes, lets gloss over what happens in reality as opposed to something you did in a fictional set. No offense but I hope that you're not a journalist
I wonder if you said the same thing about OJ.

Charlie Potatoes is one of the best things I've seen on television
Wish they would have asked him about Lost Highway.
          LOL! Right?
          Damn, that was so funny.

This certainly was a crazy interview. There were a few times that I thought that Piers actually looked afraid. I don't know how I would have handled it if I were in his position.

Piers actually tweeted that he thought Blake was going to jump over the table to attack him, the same thing I joked about in my post!

I completely disagree. I'm old enough to remember seeing Blake on Johnny Carson and he may not have been this 'over the top' but he's always been like this. I suspect he's extra feisty now that all this has happened to him, but he's really not much different than he was 30 - 35 years ago. He admitted to 'turn on' once in front of the cameras, so I just think he was playing up his time in the spotlight for all it's worth. Nah Blake's not any more 'crazy' than he's always been. And you can take that to the bank!
Clue: he's got a book to sell and he's broke, therefore

Most of these comments prove how exceedingly dull and commonplace the greater portion of society has deteriorated into. Robert Blake is, and always was, a man who beats to his own drum and I personally find him wonderfully eccentric, genuine, multi-dimensional and refreshing. He's a natural born rebel and Hollywood loner, and a terrific actor to boot, give him another shot!

Hey nothing wrong with that, but when you are broke, pushing 80 and angry at the world, just dont expect to get a lot of work for being the eccentric 'rebel' when you look like you will pull a knife on anyone who looks at you too funny!
I feel for the guy, I do, but he clearly has issues. I just hope things work out for him in some fashion.

I think his last shot is what got him arrested. 🙂

Wow! You gotta love the compassion in this thread.
Robert Blake has had a tough time, for sure, but early on I became very annoyed at Piers Morgan's constant interrupting, especially when he was talking about classic Hollywood. I wanted to hear that! I always hate it when Morgan does that, and it eventually pissed Blake off, and he was never able to get back on track.
I do think he'll get a movie because he's a great actor, and I think audiences will want to see that. The old saying, "there's no such thing as bad publicity.
It's not that I don't trust you, it's the devil in you that I don't trust.

Maybe but Robert Blake hasnt been in a film nearly 20 years. Even BEFORE the mess with his wife, he was scarcely working! I saw him in Money Train last night, which I actually saw in the theaters at the time and the guy seem to have basically played himself if you look at the Morgan interview.
I DO think hes a good actor, but I think his days been over a long time ago. Hopefully I'm wrong. America does like great come back stories. The problem is if most still think he killed his wife, his chances of working again are zero to nilch.

I've known tons of real people like him. He's an old time tough guy.
My bet is that if he was going to sell you a can and he told you it was in good shape, you'd believe him.

of course its interesting. its the main crisis of act 3. how is no one picking up on this? for 5b4movie fans, robert blake's existential crisis sure isn't getting the true movie fan response.
