Why do so many people dislike him?

I'm just wondering this - why do so many people seem to hate Marc?
I have his name on my Google Alerts and all I keep getting is pages of people slagging him off.
I think he's a really good actor and from interviews I've read he seems like a really nice guy too.
I know Riley wasn't very popular, but I still think Marc did a good job in a role that nobody would have been happy with because he wasn't Angel So why don't more people like him? -

I'd love to know the same thing. I've read all the same things and I realize he wasn't the most well liked on Buffy but I thought he did what he could with the role he was given. I think he's done pretty well for himself and he seems like a really nice guy. I'm excited about his upcoming projects.

I like him, but don't think he's a great actor.maybe lacks range. Still, I hope he has some success. That said.I'm a HUGE Buffy fan, and thought he was good as Riley, but yeahpeople would never have liked him b/c everyone always wanted Buffy w/ Angel. I liked her and Spike together actually!

Most DON'T dislike himit is only the ignorant, big-mouthed people who can't separate him from his roles that post those comments. They are probably jealous of his hotness, too. Plus, have you seen his new girlfriend?

Nothing against the guy I didn't like him as Riley. For me it was either Angel, Spike or Graham (probably would have been more interesting). I still like it other works.thinkless, lighthearted fun pictures

hahaha, no it isn't. Trust me. I know this is goofy for posting and is going to have about a 20% believability level to most, but I know Marc, and whoever that(Ryan) is, is not her. Her name wouldn't mean anything to you.

I agree. I think he played his role on Buffy amazingly for his character. I think people didn't like himalmost because he loved Buffy so much, but it wasn't reciprocal.
I think most people liked Buffy with the bad guy or the bad guy-turned good guy. The more dangerous type.
I'm re-watching Season 4 & 5 and I love Riley. At first I didn't really like him but now I definitely love him and I know he's going to be leaving in a couple episodes.
The episode where he leaves always makes me sad he left. Every time.
Pain is underrated as a tool of motivation.

I also really liked Riley (yay! I'm not the only one). I'm happy he and Buffy didn't end up together, but I liked their interaction while he was there and I think Marc/Sarah had good chemistry.
Marc Blucas is a hottie, and he seems like a really nice guy

I'm glad he and Buffy didn't end up together also. It was an interesting relationship, but part of what makes Buffy such an inspiring character is how she's always alone in the love section, in the end. Stands alone.

is gorgeous. I think he seems like a nice guy too, but he played the jackass a couple times, played it convincingly so people take him as thewell, jackass.

He seriously needs to lose the chin lint though. If you can't grow a beard and you've got a good chin, keep it clean shaven! I'm hoping he's back to the clean cut look now, but I've seen a few photos with the fuzz he's already got a boyish look half assed scruff just makes him look like he hasn't finished puberty yet!
