she's MUCH better in portuguese or spanish than in english. in i am legend i thought she was crap, frankly. havent seen redbelt but from the trailer her performance looks alright. go watch city of god or solo dios sabe
and who gives a goddamn crap what she looks like. i mean yeah i find her quite nice to look at, but that should have no bearing on her right to be in films -

I've actually worked with her and Im shocked a dude would say this. She is actually really nice and not at all stuck up. Very down to earth, perhaps the dif between us Americans who take things for granted and her , well shes not from here.
She did a sex scene in SOLb68O DIOS SABES all the guys went ga-ga over her. Anyway shes a great girl and a good actress..

You're taking it out of perspective. They are talking about a Hollywood actor. Of course when you're comparing to other Hollywood celebrities the standard is much higher. It's a bit stupid to then compare to girlfirends or girls you know.
For the record I think she's pretty hot. -

because otherwise I don't know how she could do so many amazing films. She's nothing special (acting or beauty) and there are several other brazilian actresses much more talented and beautiful than she is.

the reason she is gettin so much work is she is related to sonia braga who used to be if not a big certainly a fairly well know actress in the 70s and 80s. i think alicia is rather attractive myself, and i love the accent.

exactly and well said. she adds nothing really interesting to any films she's in. there are unknown actors who are better than her. she just doesn't deserve to be an actress. she is sonja's niece so that is probably why she got in the door.
