He is touring , and my sister wants me to go with her. If he just does the old Partridge Family songs, I guess I'm in, but otherwise.. Is it worh the admission? Anyone?

I went and saw him a few years back at Harrah's Casino in Cherokee, NC. It was a wonderful night. He sang old songs and new ones too. We all rushed the stage like we were 16 again. He shook my hand twice. I have to say I was surprised at how small he is, but it really didn't matter to me. I loved him as a teenager (WAY back when) and I still do!

I live in the UK and have no hope of ever seeing David in concert again.
He has decided not to tour here anymore :-(. He says that his son has asked him not to tour over here anymore
The last time was the Once In A Lifetime concert last year in Newcastle. I did go to see his last UK tour in London and then I went all the way to Cardiff in Wales which was the last night of his tour.
I wish he'd come back for more tours, but he says that he is only going to come over here for special one off shows though now.

I don't know if or why his son said that. Well put it this way, David was on television and in interviews he said he son asked him not to tour over here anymore, he said his son said he was spending too much time in the UK, but I think that he just used his son as an excuse. Maybe David himself didn't want to tour anymore, and we are hardly going to complain if he says his child asked him not to.
David is hardly over here, well when it comes to touring he might be here for just two weeks a year, so it's not as if he is spending a lot of time over here, and two weeks is not a long time. I do think it a bit odd for a child to tell his parent to not do something i.e. their job, and when you consider all the touring David does in America, going by his website, he seems to work more there than he does here.

I saw him several years ago and Danny Bonaduce opened!! It was a b.day gift from my Mom to me. They were fabulous. HOWEVER, if you have the chance to see him AFTER the showPASS. He's an a$$. Long story shortafter the show, he went to a local, public mind you, dance club. AFTER the dj ANNOUNCED 'DC is in the house partying', I attemped to just say HI and thanks and meet him briefly. I was very NICELY dressed andnot acting like a crazed teen fan. I walked up and his entourage wouldn't let me near him. I wrote a very small note on a napkin and squeezed inbetween 2 video machines. Now I'm under 5' and weighed about 115 (hardly physically threatening)well, a guy noticed, pointed over to me and 2 guys walked down and MOVED the machines together so no one could get thru. Now really. If you are THAT private, go BACK to your hotel and have your groupies follow you there!! and DON'T announce your whereabouts. SO, see his show, party your butt ofbut don't waste your time/effort in trying to see him cause he won't have it.

I am sorry to hear you did'nt get to meet him after the concert. I do find it weird that they would announce his name in the casino, but he does'nt want to be bothered. He use to be much nicer yrs ago, but the last few years does'nt want to do Meet and Greets or meet fans before or after the show. He did a Meet and Greet in Nashville a few months ago, but only stayed 15-20 min., not the 45 mins he was suppose to. He also was interviewed by a Radio Station, so that took away from the time.
There are some crazy fans out there, but for decent ones like you it's ashame he won't take a min or 2 to say hello.
I also had a similar experience when I saw him at the Papermill Playhouse in Milburn, NJ last yr which happens to be only 10 mins from his childhood home. I was waiting by the stage door before the show. It was only me and another girl, who had come from Ca. to see him. She also really want to catch him, but left for a short time to make a phone call. Well he did'nt come in the regular door I was near. The car he was in went on the other side in a underground garage. The guard did'nt tell me of course. And when the girl came back I told her where he went and she said..you got to be kidding. I was really disappointed, because it was the first time I would have really had the nerve to say more to him. I have met him in the past when he was nicer and did say a few quick words, but wanted to say more this time. And it was only 2 people. It would'nt have been a hardship for him.
However the last few yrs when I see him, I just expect a good show, and being pleasant on stage. Can't even get a handshake anymore, because other fans block my way or shove me when I try to move forward. Well that's my story.

He's always done a very energetic show recently, he's been adding Beatles songs & Cry as a finale. I'd see him again!

I saw on his website that he will be writing another biography which comes out in March 2007. And he will be promoting the book in Great Britain in March or April. So maybe you will get a chance to see him then. I have a feeling he will add some concerts, since he will over there already.
I think the son did'nt want him to be away from home so much no matter where he tours. His son even sang at a show with b68him in London last yr. I am surprised David did'nt have a lighter schedule when his son was much younger. But I think that was when he was in Vegas and really needed to work.

I just lost all respect for the guy. Heard some radio djs talking about his new book and they said he brags on himself incessantly and brags that his "member" is so big, when he was younger, his friends nicknamed him "Donk," as in DONKEY (figure out why). WHY would he want to reveal that?? His kids are going to read that book. His relatives. His current friends. Seems really inappropriate and not something a classy guy would talk about.

Another thing I just thought of. Even tho David does'nt do that many concerts in Great Britain as he does in the UShe does a give the British fans a longer show of 2 hours. Over here in the US it's 1 1/2 hoursand sometimes in a casino 1hr 15 mins. I wish he would give a longer show here in the US!

OK, we saw him Friday night in Allentown at Lehigh University (Zoellner Arts Center). It was pretty expensive, $45 a pop. But, as others have said on this posting, he played for an hour and 20 minutes, no more, no less. Started at 8:10. I have to say that I was suprised at his voice. He has a very deep, pretty voice. He played the Partridge Family songs, including the TV show theme song. He claimed to be a friend of John Lennon's and played a few Beatles songs. His encore was dedicated to his dad (I forget what song it was!). Since he was in the Pennsylvania area, he gave a nod to the area and mentioned that he used to come with his dad to summerstock productions in Lambertville, NJ. So that was nice. For his last song, he said it was the greatest pop tune around, and that he'd always be rerecording it, and that the writer of the song was now dead (Tony Romeo). And with that, he launched into I Think I Love You. Which, at that point, the crowd finally got into the show and stood up and clapped and cheered. Most of the audience were 50 and over. I can check this off my list, now, and did enjoy it, but I doubt I'd go again.
