I saw an episode of "Bonanza" with her as a white woman who had been kidnapped and raised as an Indian. She was left in the care of the Cartwrights and every time someone said anything to her, she'd yell at them "I spit on your grandmother's shadow!". I always fell out laughing when she yelled that!

That's a great line! I'm not sure what it means, but I love it.

"Shadow" is sometimes used as another word for "ghost". I would imagine saying something like that to someone would be the ultimate insult.

Thanks for the explanation. It's probably much worse to curse the dead than the living because they can't speak up for themselves (except for b68zombies, of course, but they don't talk much).

Vampires can speak up for themselves.

Yes, but their breath is horrid.

Some things you've got to trade off: perpetually beautiful but with bad breath or utterly rotting.

Yeah, I just saw this Bonanza episode on ME-TV today. It is from season 5 episode 22. It is titled "Love Me Not".
Here are some photos from that episode with lovely Anjanette Comer dressed as a Paiute Indian.
