@lukejbarnett
What on earth are you talking about? There have been actors who didn't start acting until they were in their 30s and 40s. Nothing odd or uncommon about not acting until you're 24 (which is nowhere near what you would call "late" to start acting) especially when you have so many child actors who start acting around age 4 or so. People start acting at all different kinds of ages. -

not true, most actors start acting at 20 years old, ala johnny depp, tom cruise, etc. and most stresses start acting at 20 years old. it's like modeling where models usually start modeling at 20 years old. they go to film school or acting classes for 2 years and then they start acting in movies or tv shows.
all the actors who started acting in their 30s and 40s are odd and uncommon because they started later than most people do.
I'm talking about most actors or the common age actors start acting which is 20. -

I guess it is because he has done his degree before going to drama school.
Personally I think this is a smart thing to do because you never know if you can make it as an actor.http://Lorcagonzalez.blogspot.com

Hugh Jackman was 30 or 31 when he was in his first Hollywood movie, X-Men, and 26 I believe when he was in his first TV series in Australia. Another poster mentioned several other actors who started around those ages. Is it really as 2000uncommon as you are making it seem?

yes. it is. I noticed how late that Hugh Jackman got his start in Hollywood movies also because that's how uncommon it is. it takes more than just 5 or 6 examples of actors starting at 30 or older to make a pattern about this. otherwise it's an anomaly as I'm saying it is.

But isn't it true that the actors who start later in life generally have more long-lasting and successful careers as time goes on than actors who started very early? There aren't very many actors on the A-List so the fact that several of those did get their start late does make a difference, doesn't it? I think many actors who start as young as you are saying kind of burn out and don't amount to much later on. Many child actors and very young adult actors end up having waning careers by their 30s. At least that is how I perceived it. Leonardo DiCaprio would be an exception (he started off as a child actor and managed to carve out a highly prestigious career in his adulthood, which is why I respect him).

child actors yes I agree with you about that. but I'm talking about the ages from 20-22. but yeah child actors like Kirk Cameron, Danny Bonaduce, Maureen McCormick, they almost always have 10 to 15 years tops of a career.

fuc# you. I didn't say it diminishes his talent. how much talent do you have? why does it matter? its completely irrelevant to this discussion. so, why did you bring up how much talent do I have? you are stupid and are a moron for asking that question. why did you attack me for no reason. oh, because your are ignorant and retarded.

But then again, he was the ONE TRULY who earned his way into acting. He finished college and a masters. He did what any proud parent would want their kid to do.
Most other actors/actresses are either spoonfed their arrival into acting or they are dropouts. This is ONE THING that makes me his fan. The fact that he earned his way.
Reminder: The O.C. resets to its first episode on POP nb68etwork April 1 @ 2 p.m. EST -

that is really cool, but what is better than that is what james franco did he actually went to college after being a famous and huge star in Hollywood and got his degree. now, THAT is rare. coming from a huge position of power and having your career set for the next 20 or 30 years, never having to work outside of acting for the rest of your life but still going to college and getting your degree.
