I won't say "I told you so" when everything is resolved in 2031.

          He did say that.
I really don't care, though. I feel bad Ukraine and Russia are going through this but it's Europe's mess. Not ours.
I voted for Trump because our border was wide open and our economy was a mess.
He fixed the border, he is deporting future Democrats, and the economy is getting better.
Our rent down DOWN for the first time in three years.

Your border is certainly closing but your economy is in jeopardy.
            Winning??

              LOL
Our economy is slowly but surely getting better.
And you care about my border? Really? I kinda doubt it.

Let's talk about the direction of the economy on Thursday, after Liberation Day.
And you're right, I don't care about your borders, except when they impact me and mine.

It will take longer than that.
But, yes, I fully support these tariffs.
So do the auto workers, by the way.
Why would our borders impact you?

I live in Canada, so there is a shared border.
I generally don't support increased taxes, which is what a tariff is. we'll see if this experiment works. Almost all economists and business leaders don't think that it will succeed. I wish us all well.

I don't see how America having a stronger border hurts Canada.

Neither do I: i repeat, I don't really care about your border either way. If the environment for foreigners becomes less welcoming, I just won't travel there. That's it.
Tariffs and economic growth I do care about.

Well, tariffs will help America. Create jobs. Middle class jobs. And we will have to grow plants and the size of existing plants to meet the newfound demand.
I don't care what happens to Canada anymore.
Canada has made it abundantly clear over the years they don't care what happens to America.

We showed that lack of care by taking in 30,000+ US travellers stranded after 9/11, or by fighting and dying with you in Afghanistan after you were attacked on 9/11?

Well, I have asked this since Russia invaded Ukraine. Never a good answer.

Memorandum that is not legally binding under international law. Budapest memorandum was not a treaty. It was never ratified by the US Senate and it didn't establish any legal obligations for any of the signatories.
