I seem to be alone in this camp of thought, but in the episode orientation at least his slightly panicked and off balance, crazy-eyed look made me do a double take because of his resemblance to Judd Nelson in Breakfast Club.

The resemblence is striking."
With the last couple episodes of Lost, that is the exact same resemblence I saw. -

im not totally familiar with young dustin hoffman. but my mom was telling me that in his old mrs. robinson days he looked a lot like our hottie HIC! but not as hot and short and tiny. she was saying that she thought that "Desmond" was better looking but resembled a young dustin hoffman very much. so i have to say you guys are probably right. i myself, only saw the graduate once though.
