Exactly that. She was the 1980's Britney. They are even with the same record label. Jive.

ManiacNicoleBrooke Bollea..doesn't go by her dad's real
last name. She goes by Brooke Hogan. I wouldn't mind
jumping on Brooke. Samanatha Fox..is who is was during
the 80's. But she's more then that now. She's 41 now.
And possibly a lesbian..what I read. -

Sam is a Lesbian and lives with her partner, who is also her manager, a woman called Donna who is 11 years older than her. Sam was on Celebrity Wife Swap on Channel 4 here in the UK last night. She still looks pretty hot for a 41 year old.

Debbie Gibson was the 80s Britney.
I don't think that's true either. Frankly, I wouldn't compare Britney to anyone. Not Sam Fox, not Debbie Gibson. Nobody. Britney's completely different from what I remember going on in the 80's. -

Samantha Fox is Samantha Fox in any decade.
Britney Spears is Britney Spears in any decade.
Deborah Gibson is Deborah Gibson in any decade (except the 80's and before, when she was Debbie Gibson).
Madonna has been Madonna for too many decades; why won't she go away?????
Anyhow, the Fox rocks!

Ah, then you didn't see the pole dancing Debbie did in one of her videos when she was 18!
But tame or not, the comparison of one particularly talented and popular teen singer to another is valid, whatever their personal styles.
There's a world of difference, for example, between Lesley Gore and Lady Sovereign, but the basic fact that they were b68both teens when they hit it big puts them in the same category.

Not so far as I can see. If a girl (or a male, for that matter) is going to overdo the sex angle, it either means that she's having a joke (like Samantha always did, or on the male side, Adam Ant) or it means that she (or he) hasn't got enough confidence in her (or his) sexuality in the first place.
As an example, and while we're talking about the 80's, Madonna WAY overdid the sexy image and as a result lost any real sexual appeal for a lot of people. Martha Davis (lead singer of the Motels), on the other hand, simply WAS sexy without ever bumping & grinding or wearing a5b4ny revealing clothing.

Funny thing is, she never did quite shed that image, even after shedding her clothes for a certain photo shoot. Fact is, she really is a good girl, and more power to her for that. Too few of them about these days.
Amusing story: she played Sandy in an Australian production of "Grease" (and more on tha5b4t in a moment), then got into an American production in which she played Rizzo. On the T.V. commercial for the show, she actually said, "You can't be a good girl all your life."
She'd obviously never heard of Dinah Shore.
But now, that was a funny thing too; as Sandy, she was the only American in an Australian production of "Grease." Now, who played Sandy in the American movie version of "Grease" with an otherwise all-American cast? An Aussie!
