Ironic as it seems, I've always liked Peter, But then Ace came next. Then what happens, They leave KISS, & I didn't listen to them again till 89'. Another Ironic thing is that Ace has better solo music then Peter does, And I have16d0 1 of Ace's solo Tapes, And none of Peter's.

Hey Fourman do you have Aces 1978 solo record? That is the one to get, it was the best out of all the others solo efforts combined. I was a BIG Ace fan growing up and I still listen to his music with Kiss and his solo stuff.

Yeah I have KISSAce Frehley1978, Got the remaster back in 97'. Your right about the disc, It's the one I listen to outta all his Solo stuff. Hell Ace should know he made it when they play "New York Groove" on the WALMART P.A. system at night.

Yeah I agree with you, man what money and fame can do huh? All true KISS fans know what has happened and many are royally hacked at Gene and his mouthing off about Ace.
To me, KISS is not KISS without Peter and Ace. And when the makeup came off the downward spiral started.
I seen them on the Dynasty tour and it was awesome. Then again on the next tour and to my dismay with Vinnie Vincent. I did not know Ace had left, talk about being shocked. And I don't remember 1 thing about that show -

Yeah Vinnie had the same problm with Gene & Paul. It's a wonder that he was given credit for co-writing the songs on "lick it up". I'm sure that Ace & Peter gave a little hell while out on tour, But this is what that Chris guy who wrote "KISS & SELL" said that made the magic work in the band. Peter said that if he would've known that Ace wasn't going to make that Concert that became "ALIVE IV". He would have never signed the contract to do the shows, Or show. He couldn't afford to be sued by KISS inc.

Hey Fourman, I don't know how old you are or anything but back in 81 Kiss was on a latenight show with Tom Synder. I liked Tom, he was interesting. Anyway it was soooooooo cool and Ace was the highlight of the whole thing. He cracked jokes through the interview and it was laughs through the whole night. I think Gene got a bit hacked What I would give to see or watch that interview again.

MAN! Up untill 2 days ago, I didn't know nothing about this interview, Untill I listen to that radio Interview that Peter did last year. A fan called in and inquired about Peter's reaction, & asked what Gene & Paul thought about Ace & Peter doing whatever on that Program. Peter said that they were pissed! So Yeah I would've have love to see the interview. My staying up past midnight till dawn or whatever didn't start untill that following year.

That is interesting Peter would mention that paticular interview But that was at a time rock stars were not on tv much as there was no vidoes or MTV. I would love to get my hands on a copy of it. We are talking like 26 years ago it was on and I still can remember it. Ace kept playing with a teddy bear through the whole thing and put some some of his costume on it. It was FUNNY.. he called it a space bear Ahhh man rock and roll was so good then.

That's funny that you said that Gonbaoji. Cause I think that the KISS inc have a teddy bear deal out of all four of their likeness's. I can't Image Ace playing with a teddy bear while giving a interview. That's a Riot!!

That is really going over the line selling KiSS teddy bears? YUK I had posters and t-shirts more than anything else.
Ace is a funny guy anyway, so it was hard to tell if he was blastered during that interview or not. I will admit I did have an Ace halloween mask. These guys have got to be loaded with money -

I could not agree with you more. Ace was KISS!!! Gene's ego couldn't handle it so he writes a book and does nothing but bash him. I don't blame hom for never wanting to play in KISS again.
Here are several reasons why Ace is my favorite.- the riffs. They make the song my faves "Detroit Rock City" and "Parasite"
- HAve you ever listened to "Music from the Elder?" The album is totally embarrassing and Ace was totally right when he said they shouldn't do it. However it had to be Gene and Pauls way or no way at all.
3)It was Ace who created one of the most famous rock-and-roll logos of all time only slightly behind the lips and tongue - Gene and Paul tried to go with Vinnie Vincent and Marc St. John and failed miserably. I liked Bruce but Ill take the Spaceman
- His solo album is far and away the best of the 4. "Rip it Out" and "Ozone" kick A$$ and "Fractured Mirror" is terrif.
- He seems to be the only one can actually act in "KISS meets the Phantom" If you watch closely Paul reads his lines off a dummy card the whole film, poorly I might add, but Ace just lets it flow. "ACK"
- My bday is the same as his 27 April
You ROck Paul DAniel Frehley!!!!!

I am younger than you, and dissagree. I may only be 15, but that doesn't mean I have no opinion. I have done EXTENSIVE research on the band, and the four albums you so mentioned, may be good, but in fact, Destroyer was their best selling album of all time. Nothing ever matched the selling of that album. Everyone has their own opinion, but the 70's was the best from the research i've done. They were huge crowd pleasers, and were producing kick ass songs. I really did not like the no-makeup period as some call it. It seems as though every song in that period was about women. Don't get me wrong, their are many that I like, God Gave Rock and Roll to You II, Forever, Lick It Up, ect, but still I think the time of the 70's was best. Now then, about the reunion subject, they were much adored through the reunion-farewell tour period. That was a good time, with the exception of Peter Criss leaving. But after the Symphony, things got worse in my view, I still don't think Gene is as much an ass as everyone says, oh no, I do not agree whatsoever with his and Paul's kicking Criss out. They do seem to have a higher proclomation of themselves than they really do though. All in all, thats my opinion. But please don'111ct respond by saying, "your only a kid" because I know a lot more than a lot of other KISS fans do.
