That is interesting Peter would mention that paticular interview But that was at a time rock stars were not on tv much as there was no vidoes or MTV. I would love to get my hands on a copy of it. We are talking like 26 years ago it was on and I still can remember it. Ace kept playing with a teddy bear through the whole thing and put some some of his costume on it. It was FUNNY.. he called it a space bear Ahhh man rock and roll was so good then.

That's funny that you said that Gonbaoji. Cause I think that the KISS inc have a teddy bear deal out of all four of their likeness's. I can't Image Ace playing with a teddy bear while giving a interview. That's a Riot!!

That is really going over the line selling KiSS teddy bears? YUK I had posters and t-shirts more than anything else.
Ace is a funny guy anyway, so it was hard to tell if he was blastered during that interview or not. I will admit I did have an Ace halloween mask. These guys have got to be loaded with money -

I could not agree with you more. Ace was KISS!!! Gene's ego couldn't handle it so he writes a book and does nothing but bash him. I don't blame hom for never wanting to play in KISS again.
Here are several reasons why Ace is my favorite.- the riffs. They make the song my faves "Detroit Rock City" and "Parasite"
- HAve you ever listened to "Music from the Elder?" The album is totally embarrassing and Ace was totally right when he said they shouldn't do it. However it had to be Gene and Pauls way or no way at all.
3)It was Ace who created one of the most famous rock-and-roll logos of all time only slightly behind the lips and tongue - Gene and Paul tried to go with Vinnie Vincent and Marc St. John and failed miserably. I liked Bruce but Ill take the Spaceman
- His solo album is far and away the best of the 4. "Rip it Out" and "Ozone" kick A$$ and "Fractured Mirror" is terrif.
- He seems to be the only one can actually act in "KISS meets the Phantom" If you watch closely Paul reads his lines off a dummy card the whole film, poorly I might add, but Ace just lets it flow. "ACK"
- My bday is the same as his 27 April
You ROck Paul DAniel Frehley!!!!!

I am younger than you, and dissagree. I may only be 15, but that doesn't mean I have no opinion. I have done EXTENSIVE research on the band, and the four albums you so mentioned, may be good, but in fact, Destroyer was their best selling album of all time. Nothing ever matched the selling of that album. Everyone has their own opinion, but the 70's was the best from the research i've done. They were huge crowd pleasers, and were producing kick ass songs. I really did not like the no-makeup period as some call it. It seems as though every song in that period was about women. Don't get me wrong, their are many that I like, God Gave Rock and Roll to You II, Forever, Lick It Up, ect, but still I think the time of the 70's was best. Now then, about the reunion subject, they were much adored through the reunion-farewell tour period. That was a good time, with the exception of Peter Criss leaving. But after the Symphony, things got worse in my view, I still don't think Gene is as much an ass as everyone says, oh no, I do not agree whatsoever with his and Paul's kicking Criss out. They do seem to have a higher proclomation of themselves than they really do though. All in all, thats my opinion. But please don'111ct respond by saying, "your only a kid" because I know a lot more than a lot of other KISS fans do.

gonna go ahead and differ from the rest of yall and say Gene. He's always been my favorite. I could give a $#it whether he's an @$$hole or not. He's a damn good bassist and writes great songs. And whichever KISS fan does not like songs like "I Love it Loud" "War Machine" "Unholy" or "God of Thunder" (although it was recorded with the original lineup) definitely needs their examined.

That song was written by Paul Stanley. And I don't like any of the other songs you mentioned aside from "Unholy", so I suppose I need my "head examined".
Gene isn't a great songwriter at all. He's written a few good songs and a whole load of stinkers. Ace was superior in songwriting. Gene is a great performer, that's all.
