Genes biography has been out for 6 years. If Gene had been lying, do you not think somebody (Ace for example) would have spoken out about it by now?
Also, if you read the 'AUTHORIZED' KISS biography, it states quite clearly who played on what albums and Genes comments on Ace are confirmed by many other people. They are not all lying.

I am not a fan of Eric Singer and Tommy wearing Ace and Peter's makeup although apparently from what I heard the originals signed away their rights to the makeup.
