So true!! Major generalization here, but isn't it funny how most women can find so-called 'ugly' men sexy, but most men only find 'beautiful' women so? But there's sooooooo much more to being sexy than looks. David Thewlis certainly isn't good looking, but he's charismatic and the way he carries himself WOOF!

He's got that "dorky/cute" vibe going on for him. Being in Harry Potter has definitely given him more appeal to the younger views who probably wouldn't have noticed him in other movies or projects.

I agree with the above, he isnt your 'typicaly good-looking' man, like you won't see him in 'hunk of the month' in magazines or anything like that. But he's charismatic and there's something about him, something mysterious, which is always very appealing and sexy.

Oh yes, he has charm. I'm one of those who would've have known about him had it not been for Harry Potter, but now that I've seen him as Lupin, he is most definitely one of my favorites. I'll bet he and Anna are cute togetherAnna would've made a grea5b4t Tonks, too, even if playing opposite her guy would've been weird for her.

David Thewlis is an incredible actor. I almost peed in my pants when I heard that David Thewlis and Gary Oldman had both been cast in the third Harry Potter film. Do yourself a favor and watch "Gangster No. 1". Thewlis is remarkable as Freddie Mays. He's also great in "Naked", which you have to be in the mood to watch, as it's a bit slow.
