Hey I agree. I don't know Scott Jacoby (but I had a crush on him when I was much much younger) but I do know Matthew and his family. In "Little Girl Who Lives Down The Lane" Scott looks and sounds just like Matt.

Okay, I am sure I am being picky but since Scott is a little bit older and began acting about 15 years BEFORE Matthew Modine, I would have to say5b4 that Matt looks and sounds just like Scott! LOL Regardless, both are terrific actors. I LOVE Matthew Modineand I would love to have seen Scott do much more than he did.

I have been a Scott Jacoby fan for along time. Scott was born in 1956, and has been acting way before Matthew Modene (who is a good actor in his own right).
It's Scott Jacoby who's in that movie. And Scott doesn't remind you of Matt, it's Matt who reminds you of Scott. I love both actors, but I was pasting pictures of Scott Jacoby in the early 70's before Matthew even considered acting. Thanks. -

I just saw the Little Girl Who Lived Down the Lane, and I was completely reminded of Matthew Modine myself. I knew if I looked on IMDB that somebody would have a thread on it also, and it's the first one! I didn't think it was him because I thought the age might be a little off and there wasn't an exact resemblanceobviously since it's a different person. Jacoby could definitely be a cousin of Modine's though, or even a brother! Crazy likeness, mannerisms and everything.

I am not wrong. I own the movie and it is Scott Jacoby, not Mathew Moding, who is in it. It's not a big deal. Just Scott is older and has been acting alot longer than, Mathew Modine. I grew up watching Scott in movies and tv shows. Scott was in alot of teen mags (Tiger Beat and 16 Magazine) to name a few.

Same here. And I was thinking at the time, "Isn't Modine younger than Foster? Boy has he aged well" Since he was clearly the older one in that film.
I also agree that it was not just the face (though the nose is a tad bigger/wider) but the voice as well, and honestly, the personality.
I have never seen a doppelganger of this caliber before. The similarity is truly fascinating and I would have been shocked if there was not a thread like this on here. After seeing this perhaps the doppelganger theory has credence after all!
