Same here. And I was thinking at the time, "Isn't Modine younger than Foster? Boy has he aged well" Since he was clearly the older one in that film.
I also agree that it was not just the face (though the nose is a tad bigger/wider) but the voice as well, and honestly, the personality.
I have never seen a doppelganger of this caliber before. The similarity is truly fascinating and I would have been shocked if there was not a thread like this on here. After seeing this perhaps the doppelganger theory has credence after all! -

It was not Mathew Modine in "The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane". It was Scott Jacoby. I was a fan of Scott Jacoby when I was a kid. Never missed his movies. I love Mathew Modine as well. Both are great actors.

i watched the movie b4 and thought matthew modine with dark hair, then saw the credits and it said scott jacoby, i thought modine had just changed his name too, as i think he looks exactly like him
