It was not Mathew Modine in "The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane". It was Scott Jacoby. I was a fan of Scott Jacoby when I was a kid. Never missed his movies. I love Mathew Modine as well. Both are great actors.

i watched the movie b4 and thought matthew modine with dark hair, then saw the credits and it said scott jacoby, i thought modine had just changed his name too, as i think he looks exactly like him

I thought Scott Jacoby resembled Geddy Lee from the band RUSH.

There is definitely a resemblance between Scott Jacoby and Matthew Modine, but I prefer Scott. Coincidentally, Modine worked with Jodie Foster in "Hotel New Hampshire" (1984) playing dual roles.

Could not disagree more. Whatever slight similarity you are seeing is just that- slight- and no more than passing resemblance- if that!
