Korea is like Volendam in The Netherlands.
They only have a few names there, definately less than 100. A few of these are used very heavily. Most recognized:

• Schilder.
• Smit.
• Veerman.
• Visser.
  Because it gets complicated to keep one from another, they all have nicknames. An example; If your name is Jan Smit and you are an avid drunk, your name could be Jan Zuiper, which means as much as John Drunk.
  Another funny tale is that there's a gal there that was rumoured to have slept with several guys at some party. She's now called the matras over there.
  Hehehe and some people say Volendammers don't have a sense of humour.

Like Johnson or Smith in America.
They are not married.
