    eventhough it's out of his comedy element, I think he could portray Marvel's Hercules well. In the comics Herc seems to have a goofy demeanor when the sitch calls for it. i mean, asthetically, he IS the character

      I thought he was very funny and talented in Tucker and Dale vs. Evil, but I think just about anyone would disagree with you about him having the right "aesthetics" for the part. Maybe he could voice him.

        I've seen this suggestion, too and thought he could do it if they pay it off as a comedy, almost farcical Hangover style.
        HOWEVER, I just watched the SMB trailer and he is looking SLIM and I think he could pull [Marvel's] Hercules off right now with a bit of power lifting training, like Goodman did for Flintstones. Too bad the Rock and the other dude (rejected Titans 3 script?) are dragging that name thru the mud with their films.
