"Was she a great big fat person"? .LOL I dunno why but the way he says that line cracks me up every time!
My husband and I laugh our heads off at that line every time!
Of course, I have known for years that Stottlemeyer was Buffalo Bill, but I still remember the first ti me I figured it out I was really surprised!
Ted Levine is one hell of an actor!

Yeah! I had same reation! When I saw him on Monk, I tought "what you mean? that's not the same actor who played buffalo bill! OMG he's really awesome!"
And I still think what actor!!

I finally watched all of SOTL for the first time last weekend. I've mainly known who Levine is thanks to Monk, so whenever I saw him in a film such as Heat or American Gangster or Assassination of Jessie James by the Coward Robert Ford I was always thinking, "Hey, that's Captain Stottlemeyer!"
Watching him as Buffalo Bill however, I just felt my mind explode, thinking "OMIGOD.
that's
Captain Stottlemeyer?!" Like one of the previous posters on here said, he just completely transformed himself into the role. Foster and Hopkins both get tons of the praise and I do feel they deserved recognition, but in Levine's case while I do take note that he has received some credit I also feel he doesn't get nearly enough for an excellent and incredibly scary performance.

So as I'm watching "Silence", I walk down the hallway to take a quick bathroom break and I here that sentence. All of a sudden bells went off in my head. It's Captain Stottlemeyer. I nearly flipped.- C'mon back to my room and I'll give you a Rusty Venture.

Gives depth of meaning to the phrase "skin job" .Levine will never be doing any Noxema commercials in this lifetime but would never need to , busy guy .
