This guy is one good role away from easily winning an Oscar. Now is anyone willing to give him that chance. I would and it's gotta be a holocaust drama where he plays a nazi who redeems himselfno brainer yo!

Well said, The Hunt was a masterpiece and Mikkelson made the role so believable, he deserves to be showered in Golden Globes and Oscars. Even if people don't think he's earned one of those, he was magnificent as Hannibal Lector, he should have at least gotten an Emmy nod

Well Roberto Begnini won for best actor for Life is Beautiful. But they don't typically award that to foreign language films. IMO, he is really limited in English speaking films. Most of the English stuff he's done is garbage, apart from Wilbur wants to Kill Himself and Hannibal. I don't speak Danish, but he appears to have a far greater range in his foreign tongue. Here is a list of best actors who were not Americans. Most of them are either from an English speaking country or fluent.
