Really? I was quite glad that Martha wasn't a permanent replacement. I thought 2 episodes was enough for her!

Martha was in three episodes and I did not have enough of her. She's a fantastic character. However, since RTD kept bringing her back on Doctor Who her character went downhill. For example: Journey's End ab68nd especially End of Time. Before that she was a fantastic character even if series 4 Martha wasn't anywhere as good as series 3 Martha was. Torchwood Martha was fantastic and I would have loved for her to stay. I still didn't want her to be anyone's replacement though.
I can't turn it off!

The reasons Davies gave were killing major characters is dramatic, moves the show along, and is fun. What some people who do not like the character of Gwen Cooper (yes I am one of those who do not like Gwen Cooper) will say it is because Davies loves Gwen and did not like that Tosh (as well as Owen and Ianto) was more popular than Gwen so he killed off the competition. Since Davies has also said that Gwen is the character he would be the most like if he was a woman and he absolutely loved her, and that Torchwood was not going where he envisioned it so he had to start over, maybe he did have to get rid of the competition for Gwen. Tosh was my favorite character after Ianto Jones.

Pretty bad reason, if they did that with Grey's Anatomy and Meredith they'd have to kill off everybody lol.
What did they expect to happen when they got a plain looking girl to play a plain girl surrounded by super spies?

Wow, considering how absolutely amazing he thinks Gwen is he must think a lot of himself. Or he tells himself he would be so much more awesome if he were only a woman. lol -

I respectfully disagree. She's the only reason I might stop watching the show, at least until her character is killed off. I don't have a problem with the character, but I think the actress is horrible. Whether she's happy, sad, scared, whatever, all she does is make her eyes buggy. She really needs to learn how to emote properly.
